The Medical Society of Northern Virginia, a partnership between the Alexandria and Fairfax medical societies, is a not-for-profit association serving more than 1,200 physicians who live, practice, or have hospital privileges in the Northern Virginia area.
The Society stands for the highest in medical and professional standards in the practice of medicine and in the care of patients and is a focal point for a variety of physician volunteer activities. One popular MSNVA service is Find a Physician; area citizens are invited to call the society at

The society sponsors "To Your Health," our cable access Channel 10 television show that features timely and practical medical information. Topics range from coping with disasters such as the September 11 events to seasonal concerns such as flu and allergies.
Members also volunteer their time and expertise on the MSNVA School Liaison Committee, support MSNVA Foundation activities to benefit local health-related programs and projects, participate in educational seminars many providing Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit, network with other area physician and health groups as well as with the health department and related agencies, and add their opinions and expertise to the creation review and proposed revisions to pending healthcare legislation and regulation that affect their practice and their ability to best care for their patients.
MSNVA publishes an annual pictorial member directory and the newsletter, MSNVA News, three times a year, updates this website regularly, and provides member physicians with services and discounts through its endorsed MedServ Program companies.
