      <title><![CDATA[New Leadership at MSNVA]]></title>

	The Medical Society of Northern Virginia (MSNVA) has new leadership.&nbsp; Claudia M. Tellez has been appointed as Executive Director of MSNVA beginning November 1, 2010.</p>
<p>
	Tellez began her career with MSNVA as Director of Foundation Programs over three years ago.&nbsp; During her tenure, she was responsible for the planning and development of Project Access of Northern Virginia (www.projectaccessnova.org), a program that delivers pro bono specialty health care services to low-income, uninsured patients in Fairfax County and Alexandria City.&nbsp; Thus far, the program has delivered over one million dollars in care through a dedicated network of physician volunteers.&nbsp; In addition, Tellez serves on a number of boards and committees.&nbsp; In 2008, she was appointed by Virginia Governor Timothy M. Kaine as trustee of the Virginia Tobacco Settlement Foundation (now known as the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth) and as Chair of the Legislative sub-committee to the Virginia Minority Health Advisory Council.&nbsp; She has a B.A. in International Relations from DePaul University and certification on Disaster Preparedness and Readiness from the University of Illinois at Chicago.</p>
